The Windsong Radiology Group is a full-service diagnostic imaging practice serving the patients of Western New York, Southern Ontario and Northern Pennsylvania. The group was founded by Janet H. Sung, M.D. in 1987 and prides itself as the premiere radiology group of the region.

So how did it all start? It was a snowy February morning in 1987 when John and Dr. Janet Sung opened a new radiology practice in a renovated Pizza Hut building on Harlem Road. Classic risk-takers, they pooled all their assets, sold their apartment, and took out a loan to finance the Harlem Radiology Center. However, 32 patients arrived on the first day, and the practice has been growing ever since.

Dr. Sung set a high standard of excellence for the staff and all the additional Radiologists who have since joined the practice. What started as a practice predominantly oriented to Women’s imaging has diversified and grown to become the second largest free standing diagnostic imaging center in the USA. Over 320,000 procedures will be performed at Windsong Radiology Group this year.

Since the Windsong Radiology Group’s modest beginnings, the patients’ best interest has always been the priority. Hard work, dedication to quality, and new technology have all been integral components to being able to serve the patient to the best of our ability. We continue to provide the immediate results for most exams and were one of the first practices of its kind to do so. Exams that require a more in-depth radiologist analysis are reported to your doctor on the same day as the exam.
