About Windsong Radiology Group

Windsong Radiology Group's Mission is clear. "Setting the standard in diagnostic imaging through the tireless efforts of our dedicated, compassionate and highly skilled Radiologists and team members." Throughout our years of service to the Western New York community, Dr. Sung and the entire team of board-certified radiologists have remained focused on this goal. Our mission statement along with the core values from which we have been built guide our actions both today and tomorrow.

So how did it all start? It was a snowy February morning in 1987 when John and Dr. Janet Sung opened a new radiology practice in a renovated Pizza Hut building on Harlem Road. Classic risk-takers, they pooled all their assets, sold their apartment, and took out a loan to finance the Harlem Radiology Center. However, 32 patients arrived on the first day, and the practice has been growing ever since.

Dr. Sung set a high standard of excellence for the staff and the 12 additional Radiologists which have since joined the practice. What started as a practice predominantly oriented to Women’s imaging has diversified and grown to become the second largest free standing diagnostic imaging center in the USA. Almost 240,000 procedures were performed at Windsong Radiology Group last year.

Since the Windsong Radiology Group’s modest beginnings, the patients’ best interest has always been the priority. Hard work, dedication to quality, and new technology have all been integral components to being able to serve the patient to the best of our ability. We continue to provide the results for many exams when possible, and were one of the first practices of its kind to do so.
