June 24, 2005 – Windsong Radiology Group announces their imaging participation in four (4) area research studies. One of which is a DEXA Scan research study for the Center for Urologic Research of WNY. This study is headed by Dr. Philip Aliotta, who stated, “We chose Windsong Radiology Group to complete our DEXA scans because of easy access for patients and their commitment to quality care. Windsong is also involved in a DEXA Scan research study for Multiple Sclerosis patients with Dent Neurologic Group Research Department, which is headed by Dr. Fran Gengo.

In conjunction with the Women’s Health Initiative and University of Buffalo, Windsong is utilizing a high resolution, multi-slice CT scanner to participate in a Calcium Scoring Research Study. "We chose Windsong because they were one of the only facilities in the region that had the high-tech equipment needed for our research study. Windsong was very willing to work with us and the study sponsor to meet all the study requirements" said Jean Wactawski-Wende, Ph.D.

Additionally, they are performing analog mammograms for the Biomarkers for Breast Cancer Prevention with the University of Buffalo Department of Social and Preventive Services.

The Windsong Radiology Group was founded in 1987 and has a radiologic team to 12 physicians.
