Windsong Radiology Group Announces PET/CT Scanner Upgrade

Today, Windsong Radiology Group announces the slated installation of the new Siemens 64 Slice PET/CT Scanner.  PET/CT imaging is often used in oncology, pulmonary and neurological diagnosis.

This state of the art equipment will aide WNY physicians and cancer patients in cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.  The new scanner reduces patient scan time by 50% as a result of the increased field of view.  It also provides improved image resolution.

Windsong Radiology Group was the first imaging facility to premier the PET/CT Scanner to Western New York in July of 2004 and is now proud to also offer this next technological advancement.
