Dr. Janet H. Sung and John J. Sung, CPA will be honored on Thursday, January 17th at the Community Leaders Luncheon, held at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. The luncheon is hosted by The National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York (NFJC of WNY). They are being recognized for Philanthropic efforts in the community.

The NFJC of WNY website states, “The Community Leader Awards recognize individuals in WNY who have made significant contributions to this region through their involvement in volunteer activities and/or their special achievements in specific areas of community and professional life. These individuals promote goodwill, understanding, respect, and trust, and they exemplify the NFJC of WNY's commitment to overcoming racism, bias, and discrimination through education, advocacy, and community involvement.”

Sung created the $1 Million Sung Scholarship Endowment Fund at the UB School of Medicine, which awards one four-year scholarship each year, and the Sung Family Foundation, established to support both local and international charities.”
