15 Medical Shows Created to Serve the Buffalo Community

15 MEDICAL SHOWS CREATED TO SERVE THE BUFFALO COMMUNITY.

TV show host and producer David Kettlewell created 15 television shows featuring Buffalo health experts July 24th and 25th, and will return to Buffalo in latter August to produce more.

The shows will provide the Buffalo area with a semi permanent repository of key health information, available on Time Warner Cable ON DEMAND channel 997 for a year or more, in a weekly airing schedule on channel 22, on YouTube, and free on the internet at medicalmatters.tv

“The concept is to create a semi-permanent repository of medical information for the Buffalo community,” said Kettlewell.

On Demand and internet show distribution is an excellent match for medical programming, said Kettlewell. “When an individual experiences a personal or family medical emergency, they need immediate information on the topic at hand. Cable’s ON DEMAND platform is an ideal solution to this need.” The show’s Medical Director is Director, Frank Weinstock, MD, FACS.

Those seeking more information on the show’s mission in Buffalo can access a video online at medicalmatters.tv/presentation

Said Kettlewell, “We have been creating shows for 8 years; I have never seen a more compelling grouping of stories than the ones in Buffalo. Renee Carapella had the courage to describe the loss of her brother through suicide, which can help us all understand the tragedy of suicide and its impact on family. I also found Leslie Saunder’s story of recovering from drug addictions and a life on the street and learning to live successfully with mental illness insightful and inspirational. All shows were valuable.”

“Overall, the programs should provide exactly what Time Warner Cable desired: a semi permanent repository of information to serve the Buffalo community,” said Chuck Vehlow, Vice President of Program Development for the Medical Matters TV show.

Demand for shows by Buffalo providers exceeded shooting capacity, so the show host will return in late August to shoot more programming.

Medical organizations interested in inclusion in the Buffalo Time Warner Cable TV shows are encouraged to contact the producer, David Kettlewell, by phone at 330-607-6894, or by email at d.kettlewell@worldnet.att.net

Said Kettlewell, “The shows created in Buffalo will touch people all over America, and be accessible worldwide on the web. Buffalo has helped us fulfill our mission of providing the public with the information they need to protect their health, and I am grateful to the community and especially Time Warner Cable for their assistance.”
