Team Windsong Donates $10,000 to the 2009 Making Strides of Buffalo

On Sunday October 4th it was pouring rain in Downtown Buffalo for the 2009 Making Strides of Buffalo Walk for Breast Cancer, but that didn't dampen the spirits or enthusiasm of Team Windsong.  Windsong Radiologists, Technologists, and Administrative team members gathered on the main stage to present a check for $10,000 to the American Cancer Society.  The funds culminated from a year long effort to raise money from within Windsong by having numerous employee bake sales, raffles, and Chinese auctions.

Additionally, Windsong Radiology Group sponsored the Survivor Tent where we helped celebrate the continued life for those that have survived breast cancer, and celebrate each and every day of life.  Windsong Radiology Group team members made pink ribbon shaped cookies and provided gift bags for the walkers at the tent.

Team Windsong had 187 people donned in gray shirts with a large pink ribbon on the back walk with the thousands of people throughout the streets of Downtown Buffalo.  The fund raising committee at Windsong Radiology Group is already planning for the 2010 Making Strides Walk, and attempting to top our record contribution for this very important cause.
