At Windsong Comprehensive Breast Care, we take a team approach for deciding on the best and most effective treatment management plan for our newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. A multi-disciplinary approach that includes radiologists, breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and Ob/Gyn primary care physicians review mammograms, Breast MRIs, ultrasounds, and tissue pathology slides in a visual presentation at the Windsong Conference Room early on Monday mornings. The team decides on the approach and plan for the physicians to follow for subsequent surgery and or oncological treatment.

The patient’s physicians are also invited to participate, and the sessions offer medical CME credit to those that participate through the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. It takes a team to fight breast cancer; you are not alone in the battle.
