The Dr. Janet H. Sung Women’s Imaging Center at Windsong is a brand new imaging facility within Windsong Medical Park at our main office at 55 Spindrift Drive in Williamsville. This beautiful new space is dedicated to our founder Dr. Janet H. Sung to honor her dedication and as a pioneer in women’s imaging. This beautifully designed and appointed space will give our patients and their families more privacy and comfort with less noise and wait times due to increased efficiencies in the design and layout.
In addition to this new space on the second floor at Windsong Medical Park, the newest and best technology is utilized with fellowship trained women’s imagers providing the patient with same day mammography results, allowing patients to leave the facility with some peace of mind. Not only that, but Windsong also pioneered Digital Mammography, Breast Core Biopsy and Computer Aided Detection (CAD).
Computer Aided Detection is a second set of eyes that reviews every mammogram instantaneously. It allows our Radiologists to be more effective in the detection of smaller lesions and at earlier stages. Our Radiologists review both the CAD image and the regular mammography images simultaneously. The benefit for the patient is the piece of mind in accuracy and precision.
The design and concept for our women’s imaging is a result of our experiences with our new offices in Hamburg (2008) and Lancaster (2009). Our caring, attentive and well trained staff at our four offices are prepared to assist you through your exam and make every patient's experience the best possible.
